Hello my distributed (but not distant) colleagues.
While dark clouds have lingered in 2020, some of us see a silver lining.
First, there has been rapid learning about how people CAN work remotely. Many now see the benefits that some of us have enjoyed for a few years now.
Also, people have shared a HUGE amount of information on what works and what doesn't online. It's as if most of the planet is in a continuous retrospective!
And there is still much we can learn from each other if we keep sharing. Some examples?
- If you missed my session at FunConf on how to help your distributed team explore their work preferences and develop better working agreements, you can catch all of the videos from the conference on this YouTube channel.
- I'm working with Judy Rees to deliver some new courses to help improve engagement with teams AND students in courses.
- I'm developing new concepts to help you plan what processes and tools you might need for different types of distributed events. See over 20+ blog posts on remote facilitation and hybrid-remote facilitation.
Hope you are finding your silver linings these days. Need help? Let me know.
